Flammable powder have rapid combustion of fine particles suspended in the air within an enclosed location. Explosions can occur combustible material is present in high-enough concentrations in the atmosphere or other oxidizing gaseous medium, such as oxygen.Dust explosions are a frequent hazard in coal mines, grain elevators, and other industrial environments. Those products having low MIE values and generate static charges like Carbon Black; Acrylic Polymer; Bronze Powder; Melamine; Hydroxy-methyl-phenylpyraolidone; etc. Such material has to be handled under inert atmosphere.

Project Statement



The output of ANFD has to be finally filled in 500Kg FIBC bags . Based on the marketing requirement the type of filling changes. The process requirement is to completely empty the ANFD and should be ready for next batch for drying process. The ANFD capacity is 4KL and cycle time 4hrs-5hrs. The ANFD is on the 2nd floor. The dust generated during charging and filling were connected to client's dust collection system.

Project Detail



The Powder from ANFD (Client ' Scope) have been pass through Lump breaker and lump free powder reached at ribbon blender. blending process to be complete for the 30m to reduce material particle size, once particle size become less or equal to 10 microns (as per lab report), system move for the packing process.

During the Packing operation, material pass through the vibrio shifter to separate oversize particle and same will be feed to blender by PTS for re-cycle process, On the other hand undersize particle material pass through metal detector to separate and detect metal particles, if available at material.

The filling has been done by the help of Flow Control Valve which operates in coarse and fine mode. This will help to achieve the accuracy of ± 100gm. The mechanism of vibration has been provided to ease out the heap formation during filling rotary valve and powder transferring system are installed inline to convey material with define flow and continuity.

Entire system operation is control by the PLC and HMI along with all instrument interlocks Like (sensors, proxy SW, SOV, transducer) based on Automatic operation, only one operator will be handling entire process and operation activity.
